The UK Medical Research Council (MRC) is a national organisation funded by the UK Government. It promotes research into all areas of medical and related science with the aims of improving the health and quality of life of the UK public and contributing to the wealth of the nation.

PPARC

The Particle Physics and Astronomy Research Council (PPARC) is the UK's strategic science investment agency. It directs and co-ordinates the funding of research in national and international programmes in particle physics, astronomy, cosmology and space science in the United Kingdom. In addition, it manages UK involvement in international scientific bodies such as CERN.

The company is involved in the ESLEA project through the provision of equipment and dedicated expertise; this contribution enables the project to examine Cisco products and services in a switched optical environment carrying traffic from data-intensive applications.

UKERNA

The United Kingdom Education and Research Networking Association (UKERNA) is funded by the UK Government, to provide and develop a network infrastructure that meets the needs of the education and research communities. UKERNA manages the operation and development of JANET production network as well as UKLight (research network managed on behalf of the Joint Information Systems Committee).
